Port of Spain is gearing up for what promises to be the most spectacular Carnival celebration in decades. Tourism Minister announced today that Carnival 2026 will feature extended festivities, international headliners, and enhanced safety measures.
The National Carnival Commission has allocated $50 million for infrastructure improvements, including new stages and upgraded sound systems across multiple venues. Local mas bands are already reporting record-breaking registrations for next year’s parade.
“This will put Trinidad and Tobago back on the map as the Carnival capital of the world,” said NCC Chairman.
The festivities will kick off two weeks earlier than usual, allowing for more cultural events, concerts, and community celebrations leading up to the main parade days. International airlines have already added additional flights to accommodate the expected surge in tourists.
